This is from Kevin Hale’s “How To Make Products Users Love" lecture in CS183B: How to Start a Startup.
It’s illustrating the average overall funding startups get and the average return to their investors. Wufoo was able to return 29.5 THOUSAND percent to their investors, after being bought by SurveyMonkey for $35M back in 2011.
Obviously an outlier, but their crazy fanaticism to user experience including/especially customer support paid off well (literally). It’s a great lesson for any company, and one I’ll always refer back to.
